Needlework

Needlework is an extremely important task for a young lady. Young ladies devote a portion of each day to plain sewing projects, such as mending or making shirts, shifts, caps, aprons and baby clothes. To practice their skills, young ladies might create samplers-- examples of all the various stitch work they have learned.
