Dancing
Lessons
Dancing is a social
grace that all young ladies and gentlemen must
learn. Attending a ball or dance is a favorite
18th-century entertainment. The most prominent
families might attend a ball at the Royal Governor's
Palace. These grand evenings are designed to showcase
the social graces of the participants: Each couple--individually,
in order of prominence--dance minuets, followed
by the popular and lively country dances.
