The carriage is the most expensive choice, but you value the comfort and prestige that you'll gain by arriving in Williamsburg in such fashion.

Alas, the carriage you hired wasn't in good repair. A wheel breaks halfway to Williamsburg.

The driver apologizes and hurries away to find a wheelwright to repair the break. You are forced to take lodgings at a small crossroads tavern close by. It is morning before the driver returns, the wheel is fixed, and you are on your way again.

You arrive in Williamsburg a day late, but you arrive in style and you notice how Williamsburg residents pause to look at you. They take note of you, the new gentleman in town.

The burgess's journey is over. Now take another trip through colonial Virginia!
