You can help us preserve Colonial Williamsburg for the future by following these suggestions:
Please dispose of all chewing gum in appropriate trash receptacle before entering sites.
Please close or discard all food and drinks before entering sites.
Please wait until a program or presentation is finished before taking flash photography. Cameras on stands or tripods are allowed in buildings; standing in doorways or on stairs while taking photos is dangerous to yourself and others and is not permitted. Flash photography is permitted throughout the Historic Area, and our costumed interpreters are happy to pose for a keepsake photo. We do ask that you do not photograph other guests, unless, of course, you have their permission.
Your visit will be more fun and exciting if you are respectful of all guests. Large groups can be intimidating to individual visitors. Please move through the town in a courteous fashion, and be careful to represent your group well. If your group pauses to rest, please do so in an area that does not block walkways, steps, or other public access areas. The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation reserves the right to revoke tickets and deny museum and Historic Area access of disorderly groups.
