Loyalty or Liberty?

Raleigh Tavern: September 1775

Raleigh Tavern
Your master asked you to take a letter to Mr. Pendleton. You have heard that he is staying at the Raleigh Tavern, so you strike out across town on your errand. At the Raleigh Tavern, you tell the innkeeper, "I am here to deliver this note to Mr. Pendleton."

The innkeeper says, "Mr. Pendleton is upstairs in a private room. I can take it upstairs to him. You'd better wait to see if he has a reply. This place has been crowded of late. All these men are in here debating politics. Stay out of the way and stay out of trouble until I get back now."

The innkeeper goes upstairs.

Where will you wait?
