About this entry:
George L. Lafong was the proprietor of a shop in Williamsburg but location is not known. A frenchman, he had settled in Williamsburg by 1762. George Washington purchased curls from him for his step-daughter, Patsy Custis, in 1771. He continued to live in Williamsburg until his death in 1800.
