WILLIAMSBURG, July 7, 1775.
ANECDOTES Last Sunday the Fowey man of war returned to her moorings before Yorktown, with Lord Dunmore and Captain Foy on board; having only proceeded as far as the capes with the Magdalen schooner, which carries Lady Dunmore, and the rest of the Governour's family, immediately to England.

"Last Sunday" was July 2, 1775. On June 29th, the newspaper had reported that Dunmore and Foy were on their way to Boston, so many Gazette readers would have been disappointed to hear that they were back.
