About this entry:

John Page (1721-1774) of North End was the son of Mann Page I and Judith Carter, daughter of Robert "King" Carter. Although he was less known than his nephew, John Page of Rosewell, he carried on the family tradition of public service that qualified the Page family to be listed as one of the First Families of Virginia (FFV). This designation applied not to the first settlers, but rather to those wealthy, socially prominent families represented in the governor's office or the colonial council.
