WILLIAMSBURG® Christmas ornaments bring back the spirit of an old-fashioned family holiday

Start your own holiday traditions with festive one-of-a-kind ornaments
from the WILLIAMSBURG® Products Program. Decorate your
tree with "tree houses" or miniature replicas of Colonial Williamsburg
historic buildings fashioned in intricately detailed porcelain that allows
you to place them over one of the bulbs on a string of lights and watch
their windows glow.

Another selection, a miniature birdhouse, has been decked out in Christmas
finery and is ready to nestle in the branches of your holiday tree. WILLIAMSBURG®
exclusives, the birdhouses come in three styles–a gray colonial cottage,
a building with a bird bottle and the Nicolson Shop from Colonial Williamsburg’s
renowned Historic Area.

Kirk Stieff has introduced a mini-heart box ornament this year that is
an interpretation of brass and pewter boxes made especially for Colonial
Williamsburg. The mini-heart box also serves as a gift box for a small
treasure and, for a nominal fee, can be engraved. Heart boxes are adapted
from an 18th-century pewter tobacco box, which served as a
handsome and decorative container for the storage of loose pipe tobacco.

Your tree will gleam with Virginia Metalcrafters’ fifer, drummer and
drum ornaments. The gold-plated brass drummer and fifer ornaments represent
soldiers in the Fife and Drum Corps who were an important element in the
18th-century militia. The three-dimensional gold-plated brass
drum ornament is reminiscent of the drums used by soldiers to sound the
call on the battlefield. All three ornaments come with ribbons for hanging.

What would a Williamsburg Christmas be without a pineapple? A symbol
of hospitality in the 18th century, the pineapple was a rare delicacy
served to honor and impress guests. Your guests will delight in two new
pineapple ornaments that are being introduced this year. A painted pineapple
ornament features gold-plated brass and red and green enamel. In addition,
a set of three-dimensional pineapple ornaments is available in silver
and gold plate.
