Williamsburg Inn receives accolades from two prestigious national travel magazines
Two of the most prominent travel magazines published in the United States have given top accolades and awards to the Williamsburg Inn. In two separate polls published in the January issues of the national magazines Travel + Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler, the Williamsburg Inn has received coveted rankings in two separate reader’s polls for being among the top hotels in the world as well as Virginia.
In the Travel + Leisure “Ultimate Guide to The Greatest Hotels in the World,” readers rated the Williamsburg Inn highest overall in Virginia in the “Smallest Hotel” category. Only 500 properties worldwide were singled out for this honor.
In the Conde Nast Traveler Gold List 700 of "The World’s Best Places to Stay" are cited by readers in the categories of hotels, resorts and cruise lines. The Williamsburg Inn and Colonial Houses is one of only four properties in Virginia listed in the rankings. The Inn is ranked second in Virginia, receiving high marks for location, cuisine, service and design.
“We are very proud of these honors and feel that they mark a significant affirmation of the special atmosphere, impeccable service and cuisine that are hallmarks of the Inn since the renovation two years ago,” said Clyde Min, general manager of the Williamsburg Inn. “We are immensely proud of these honors and our place in the great history of Virginia hospitality.”
Both magazines are on newsstands through the month of January.
The Williamsburg Inn is a member of Leading Small Hotels of the World and the National Trust for Historic Preservation Historic Hotels of America.
