Golden Horseshoe Hosts Spring Military Invitational March 19–20
Colonial Williamsburg’s Golden Horseshoe hosts the 18th annual Military Invitational golf tournament March 19–20. The tournament consists of 36 holes on the Green and Gold Course, with an optional practice round Friday. Saturday’s round begins with a shotgun start on the Green Course at 10 a.m., and the final round Sunday begins at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start on the Gold Course.
Saturday’s format is captain’s choice, while Sunday’s format is a four-ball (two-person, best-ball) format. Handicaps will be used to determine Saturday’s pairings. Flights will be determined by Saturday’s score. Teams are composed of two amateur golfers as defined by the USGA Rules of Golf. One player must be an active duty, retired or reserve military or National Guard member. The other player may be either civilian or military.
Tournament includes both a regular and senior division. To qualify for the senior division, both players must be 55 years of age or older. The entry fee of $295 per team includes a practice round on the Gold or Green Course on Friday, March 18, prizes and scoring receptions. Cart fees are required for Friday’s practice round.
