Colonial Williamsburg Products Division Assumes Responsibility for Kimball Theatre Concessions

As part of a series of new retail initiatives in 2003, Colonial Williamsburg’s products division assumed responsibility for the concessions stand at the Kimball Theatre in Merchants Square Wednesday, Jan. 22. The site falls under the supervision of products retail manager Dave Gregory. “We are very excited about this opportunity,” said Jim Easton, vice president of products. “The current plan is to review a possible expansion of the menu as well as the hours of the concessions stand so Dave and his staff can accommodate increasing visitor demands on this popular venue.”

Jeanne Zeidler, director of community cultural affairs for Colonial Williamsburg, said the new arrangement will help the Kimball Theatre better meet the needs of its guests. “We anticipate that this new arrangement will enable the Kimball Theatre to offer an enhanced level of service to those who attend programs as well as patrons of Merchants Square. It also will allow Kimball Theatre staff to focus more on programming.”

The Kimball Theatre in Merchants Square in downtown Williamsburg is owned and operated by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. It offers live performances and art films seven days each week. For information on Kimball Theatre programs, call (757) 565-8217. Tickets are available by calling toll-free (800) HISTORY or at any Colonial Williamsburg ticketing location. The Kimball Theatre box office opens one hour before performances.
