Regency Gift Shop debuts with re-opening of the Williamsburg Inn

The newly remodeled Regency Gift Shop at the Williamsburg Inn continues its tradition of classic and
elegant gifts and accessories after its re-opening Sunday, Sept. 30. Once again, the gift shop offers
discerning Williamsburg Inn guests and visitors a unique collection of WILLIAMSBURG®
products, including porcelain, jewelry, decorative accessories, special collectible items, sterling
silver and other elegant gifts.

"The Regency Gift Shop is the ‘jewel box’ of all the Colonial Williamsburg shops," said
Janet Kane, vice president of products. "This shop offers the discriminating shopper one-of-a-kind
products to help them capture special memories of their visit to the historic Williamsburg Inn, to help
celebrate an anniversary or remember a family reunion. For example, our guests will find a broad
selection of frames and leather-bound portfolios, to hold photos from their visit."

Visitors also will be able to choose from several Colonial Williamsburg signature items hand picked
for the Regency Gift shop, including Bernardaud china accessories, which adorn the Regency Room, scarves
and ties, publications and men’s logo apparel.

Design decisions for the shop reflect the elegant Regency style of the Inn, with a nod toward
functionality. The mahogany fixtures have been designed to resemble furniture pieces but still finished
to withstand years of customer traffic. Also, pullout shelves built into the cabinetry will be used for
gift-wrapping and then easily hidden from view when not in use. Fine furniture maker, The Century Guild,
based in Raleigh, N.C., was chosen to design and fabricate the fixtures.
