Green, Gold Course Grills open for lunch

The Gold Course Clubhouse Grill has re-opened for lunch patrons 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Menu items include Crab Raviolis with Red Pepper Vinaigrette; Spinach Salad, featuring spinach, Smithfield Ham, peach, strawberry, goat cheese and raspberry vinaigrette; Sand-wedge sandwiches served with pickles and fries; and paninis, lightly-pressed, full-flavor sandwiches such as the Mushroom Panini and Shrimp Panini.

The Golden Horseshoe Green Course Grill has added new menu items to its already popular list of mid-day appetizers and entrees.

Items such as the Nacho Shot, pasta chips covered with Italian sausage, peppers, mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce; New England Red Flannel Hash Greens, baby spinach, apple, potato and apple cider-bacon vinaigrette; the Shank, veal shank, onion, mozzarella cheese on a garlic focaccia; and Curry in a Hurry, grilled lime chicken, grapes, walnuts on focaccia bread, were added to the menu by resort sous chef Bill Berning and his staff.

Two additions guests will notice is the increased presence of dill in the aioli condiment sauce and that a select number of sandwiches now are served on Kaiser rolls.

“Although we added a number of new food items, we retooled some items like the Lobster Roll and turned it into a club sandwich and brought back favorites like the Smithfield Roll-Up,” Berning said.

The cover of the Green Course Grill menu also underwent a minor change. The new illustration is of the clubhouse following recent renovations.
