Beth Moore promoted to director of marketing for products at CW

Beth Moore has been promoted to director of marketing in Colonial Williamsburg’s products division. Moore’s responsibilities will include leading strategic marketing initiatives across the products division and in conjunction with the hospitality division. She will plan and implement promotions for licensed and non-licensed products for the WILLIAMSBURG® Catalog, Colonial Williamsburg retail stores and the licensing business. In addition, she is charged with growing the sale of WILLIAMSBURG products through integrated marketing programs for the WILLIAMSBURG brand and overseeing marketing communications.

“Over the last year, Beth has made significant contributions to Colonial Williamsburg’s licensing business,” said James L. Easton, vice president of the products division. “This promotion will allow her to channel her energy and talents into two additional business units—retail stores and direct marketing.”

Moore joined Colonial Williamsburg in 2001 as brand promotions manager, with more than 15 years’ experience in marketing communications, public relations, project management and strategic planning. Previously, she worked as senior account executive at Trone Advertising Inc., High Point, N.C., where she planned and executed strategic public relations campaigns for such clients as FedEx and QualChoice Healthcare. Prior to that, she was director of marketing at Bob Timberlake Inc., Lexington, N.C., where she was responsible for managing new product introductions, publicity and marketing communications for more than 25 Bob Timberlake® brand licensees. Moore also served as director of business development at The Burris Agency, Greensboro, N.C., and as a project manager in fashion branded apparel with the Sara Lee Corp., Winston-Salem, N.C.

“It is indeed a privilege to work with the products staff at Colonial Williamsburg,” Moore said. “This is a tremendously exciting time to be a part of the products team because we have so many new ventures under way—from the development and refinement of the e-commerce site to the expansion of the WILLIAMSBURG Catalog. I am delighted to be involved with so many wonderful, dedicated people in such a dynamic program.”

Moore earned a bachelor of arts degree in anthropology from the University of California at Santa Cruz and a master’s degree in business administration from Wake Forest University.
