A Day in the Life: Dennis, a slave boy

Dennis dressed
No, that's not right. That's what a wealthy gentry boy would wear. As a slave boy, you would wear a course linen shirt, a long pants called trousers, and cotton or wool stockings. You even have a pair of shoes to wear.

Many slaves were not dressed this well. Because you live in the city of Williamsburg, you have advantages that plantation slaves do not have.

What will you do next this morning?

Eat breakfast
Bring wood into the Master's house
and build up the kitchen fire
Go visit your Pa at the Randolph house
Flourish
