  • NO FOOD, BEVERAGE, CHEWING GUM, OR SMOKING IS ALLOWED IN THE EXHIBITION BUILDINGS.

  • Some restrictions apply to the use of cameras and video recorders in the Historic Area.
  • The historic area is made up of 177 acres, with a variety of walking surfaces including, dirt, asphalt, seashell, uneven brick walkways, and grass. Please wear comfortable walking shoes.

  • Study the map of the Historic Area for the location of restrooms, water fountains, and sales areas.

  • There are limited picnic facilities in the Historic Area and near the Visitor Center.

  • A variety of animals can be found in the Historic Area. For your safety and their proper diet, please refrain from feeding or petting them.

  • For groups arriving on buses, limited free bus parking is available.

  • A U.S. Department of Transportation regulation requires that all strollers, folding wheelchairs, and carry-on items must fit between the seats on all Colonial Williamsburg shuttle buses.

  • Some of the buildings in the Historic Area are wheelchair accessible. Please check This Week at Colonial Williamsburg for exact locations. Arrangements can be made for hearing amplification, signing interpreters, and wheelchairs, as available.
