Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute Scholarships

Because of the generosity of many Colonial Williamsburg Foundation friends, their deep commitment and respect for teachers, and their knowledge of the teacher’s role in educating citizens and leaders of tomorrow, we are very pleased to announce scholarship opportunities to the 2010 Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute in Early American History. Scholarships are available in the following areas. Please click on your state below to obtain more information or to download the scholarship application.

Note :Most scholarship applications sent directly to Colonial Williamsburg use the same application. A cover page indicates which scholarships the application applies to; you only need to fill out one application unless otherwise noted. Be sure to indicate on the cover page for which opportunities you wish to be considered both in location and date.

Los Angeles
Scholarships are available for forty-five fifth-grade public school teachers in Los Angeles County and in Los Angeles Unified School Districts to attend June 29-July 6, 2010. Marin County
Scholarships are available for four fifth-grade public school teachers in Marin County to attend July 1-8, 2009.  Please contact Laura Trahan at (415) 491-6682 or by email at ltrahan@marin.k12.ca.us for more information and to receive an application.

Riverside County
Scholarships are available for five fifth-grade public school teachers in Riverside County to attend June 29-July 6, 2010.  Please contact Susan Dickson at (951) 826-6610 or by email at sdickson@rcoe.us for more information and to receive an application. 

San Bernardino County
Scholarships are available for five fifth-grade public school teachers in San Bernardino County to attend June 29-July 6, 2010.  Please contact Angela Dorough at (909) 386-2611 or by email at adorough@sbcss.k12.ca.us for more information and to receive an application.   

San Diego
Scholarships are available for twenty-five fifth-grade public school teachers in San Diego County and San Diego Unified School District to attend June 30 – July 7, 2010.  Please contact Laurie Mosier at (858) 292-3820 or by email at lmosier@sdcoe.k12.ca.us for more information and to receive an application. 

San Francisco Bay Area
Scholarships are available for four fifth-grade public school teachers in the San Francisco Bay area (to include San Francisco, San Mateo, Sonoma, and Marin Counties) to attend June 29-July 6, 2010. Download a scholarship application.  Please contact Emily Krapf at (757) 565-8417 or by email at ekrapf@cwf.org for more information.  Applications are due on January 22, 2010; notification of scholarship awards will begin on February 19, 2010. 

San Joaquin County
