Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute Scholarships

Because of the generosity of many Colonial Williamsburg Foundation friends, their deep commitment and respect for teachers, and their knowledge of the teacher’s role in educating citizens and leaders of tomorrow, we are very pleased to announce scholarship opportunities to the 2010 Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute in Early American History. Scholarships are available in the following areas. Please click on your state below to obtain more information or to download the scholarship application.

Note :Most scholarship applications sent directly to Colonial Williamsburg use the same application. A cover page indicates which scholarships the application applies to; you only need to fill out one application unless otherwise noted. Be sure to indicate on the cover page for which opportunities you wish to be considered both in location and date.

Nationwide

Friends of Colonial Williamsburg Scholarships are available for four American history teachers who work at the elementary, middle, or high school level in any public school in the United States. Download a scholarship application. Please contact Emily Krapf at (757) 565-8417 or by email at ekrapf@cwf.org for more information. Applications are due on January 22, 2010; notification of scholarship awards will begin on February 19, 2010.

School or District Matching Grants Scholarships are available for two American history teachers who work at the elementary, middle, or high school level in any public school in the United States, if their school or district matches with an additional participant. Colonial Williamsburg will provide the tuition and transportation for one teacher, if the school/district will match one teacher. Download a scholarship application. Please contact Emily Krapf at (757) 565-8417 or by email at ekrapf@cwf.org for more information. Both teachers must apply together. Applications are due on January 22, 2010; notification of scholarship awards will begin on February 19, 2010.
