WILLIAMSBURG, March 8, 1776.
[Deaths.] CARTER BURWELL, esq; at London, who some time ago went there for the recovery of his health. He was the youngest son of the late col. Carter Burwell, and died in his 21st year, after a lingering illness.

Col. Carter Burwell died in 1756 before his fortieth birthday at the home he built, Carter's Grove. Carter Burwell Jr., his second son and eighth child, was an infant when his father died.
