Onsite Summer Program Participant’s Guide

We are delighted to have you join us for an exciting session learning our nation’s history. We hope this guide will answer any questions you may have about the Teacher Institute.

The intensive Teacher Institute immerses you in American history while staying in Williamsburg, the restored capital city of eighteenth-century Virginia. During the Institute, you will learn techniques to actively engage your students in a complete and diverse history that helps them see themselves in the story of our shared past. Throughout the session, you will work with Colonial Williamsburg staff and interpreters, analyze primary sources, and engage with people from the past.

If you need additional information or clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us at teacherdevelopment@cwf.org.
