In a faced-paced series of encounters, we see the turbulent relationship between Thomas Jefferson and John Adams as their friendship ignites, flourishes, ruptures, and resolves itself. The play spans 50 years, from the early days of the Republic, through two wars with England, and continuing through their vigorous retirement. Abigail Adams plays a major role in the mens' reconciliation.
