What is an Electronic Field Trip?

• Live television broadcast and Internet event
• Streaming video
• Interactive history lesson
• Dramatic and compelling learning experience
• Curriculum enhancement that support the national and state Standards of Learning (SOLs)

Our Electronic Field Trips bring American history to life for more than one million students annually in more than 3,500 schools nationwide. Electronic Field Trip events are broadcast once a month from October through April. Each production is supported with dedicated Web sites, lesson plans, bibliographies, and other materials, including historical background essays, glossaries, time lines and primary sources to help teachers make the best use of the programs.

How does a sponsorship work?

Colonial Williamsburg and PSCU Financial Services join educators who want to participate in Electronic Field Trips and local credit unions that want to provide education programs. Member-owner credit unions are encouraged to promote these programs and provide scholarships for local schools.

What is the cost of a sponsorship?

Colonial Williamsburg Electronic Field Trips cost $500 for a series of seven events. This fee registers all participating teachers and students in one school. Your local PSCU Financial Services member credit union may be able to fund all or part of this cost.
